Yes. Watch World provides battery replacement for many quartz watches. Where appropriate, we can also check the watch after the battery has been replaced to ensure it is operating correctly. We use the highest quality watch batteries you can have, quality high grade Seiko Batteries.
6. Do you repair automatic and mechanical watches?
Yes. Automatic and mechanical watches require specialised servicing and care. Depending on the condition of the watch, servicing may include movement inspection, cleaning, lubrication, regulation, and replacement of worn components.
7. Can you repair luxury watches?
We can assess many luxury and high-end watches and advise on the appropriate repair or servicing options. Each watch is assessed individually based on its condition, make, model, and the work required.
8. Can you replace a cracked or damaged watch glass?
Yes. We can assess watches with cracked, scratched, or damaged glass or crystal and advise whether replacement is possible and which type of replacement is appropriate. If acrylic we can sometimes polish the glass

Yes. We can replace watch straps, adjust bracelets, and carry out certain bracelet repairs. Our team can help you select an appropriate strap or bracelet for your watch. We have a very extensive range of leather bands, resin, metal and original Seiko bands.

In many cases, yes. A watch may stop due to a flat battery, movement problem, moisture, physical damage, or general wear and tear. We can inspect your watch to identify the likely cause and recommend the appropriate solution.

15. Can you remove scratches from my watch?
Professional polishing may reduce certain scratches and signs of wear. However, polishing is not suitable for every watch, and excessive polishing can change the original shape or finish of a watch case.
16. Can you repair a watch that has been dropped?
Yes. We can inspect watches that have been dropped, knocked, or otherwise damaged. Depending on the damage, repairs may involve the case, crystal, crown, bracelet, or internal movement.

18. Do I need an appointment?
For many services, you can simply visit Watch World within our operating hours - Tues - Friday 8-4pm and drop you watch in.
19. How should I look after my watch?
To help keep your watch in good condition, avoid unnecessary impacts, extreme temperatures, strong magnetic fields, and exposure to moisture unless your watch is specifically designed for water use. Regular servicing is also recommended according to the requirements of your particular watch.

21. How do I get my watch repaired at Watch World?
Simply bring your watch to Watch World at 45A Arrenway Drive, Albany, Auckland. We'll assess the watch, discuss the issue with you, and recommend the most appropriate repair or service.
22. Waterproof watch ratings and what do they mean?
No marking, not waterproof = the watch must also be protected from splash water, it must not get wet.
3 ATM = Water resistant 30 metres. Splash-proof: The watch is protected from splashes such as rain, must not be immersed in water, and must not be used in swimming or sauna. (Note - this is not a recognised ISO Standard so is the same as “water resistant” and does not require pressure testing.
5 ATM = Water resistant 50 metres. limited waterproof: The watch can be used in humid conditions, eg in surface water. In principle, you can swim, but it is not recommended.
10 ATM = Waterproof 100 metres: suitable for surface swimming and snorkelling, not scuba diving.
20 ATM = Special waterproof 200 metres: Suitable for marine activity and serious surface water sports.
Diver’s 200+ ATM - Suitable for diving and professional marine activity.
23. Should I keep my watch on in the shower?
No, It is recommended that a water-resistant watch be taken off when in the shower. Hot water soap and shampoo may help clean the watch, but it tends to seep through to the seals deteriorating them and causing them to the point of failure.
24. Do you repair fake or replica watches?
No, Watch World does not repair fake or replica watches.
25. How long is your Service Warranty?
We provide a 24 month warranty on time keeping
26. Can I post my watch to you?
YES! We receive many watches via post or courier. If sending via courier, send to our street address: 45a Arrenway Drive, Albany 0632, Auckland. Be sure to send registered and include insurance if it's a treasured item. Pack securely with plenty of padding and protection. Please include the repair form which can be found on our website.
27. What Does a Proper Watch Service Actually Involve?
A full mechanical watch service is a thorough, methodical process—not a quick clean or adjustment.
Best practice servicing typically includes:

28. Do you sell Seiko Bands and Bracelets to the public?
Yes we do. Please email us your model and we can let you know if its available and if we have it in stock.
29. Should I get my battery replaced by a person who cuts keys or repairs shoes?
NO! Changing a watch battery is not a simple repair, it takes skill not to scratch the case or case back and not to damage the inside components of the watch. We see on a daily basis what damage can be done by non-professionals trying to change watch batteries. At Watch World we also use the highest quality watch batteries on the market not cheap batteries that can possibly leak in your watch.
30. Should I care what brand watch battery goes in my watch?
YES! Inferior quality batteries may not last as long, and when depleted have a high risk of leaking battery acid which can cause a lot of damage to the workings of a watch. Which is why we only use Seiko quality batteries, which cost us more, but we believe it’s worth it to offer the highest quality watch battery you can buy for your watch.
